Centenary of Louis Blériot’s Channel Crossing
|
07/09
|
The
25th of July marks the 100th anniversary of
Blériot’s channel crossing, securing his place in history – and
in the record books for the first crossing via a heavier-than-air aircraft
– the 25 hp ‘Blériot XI’. Taking off from Calais and landing 37 minutes later
near Dover Castle, Blériot was doubtless motivated by the £1,000
prize offered by the Daily Mail for the first to complete this challenge. A
true adventure sport pioneer, Louis, we salute you!

A ‘Cutting Edge’ first for Le Mans in 2009
|
06/09
|
For
the first time in it’s history, Le Mans saw the addition of an open
air hairdressing salon to it’s paddock, courtesy of RUSK. Whether a
driver or sponsor dropping in for a quick trim or a model going for
‘the works’ from our top stylists we were ready. Plus the
wonderful RUSK girls were on hand to add a snip of glamour. RUSK RACING
ROCKS!
|
|
|

|
|
Motorsport
is all about lifestyle – and so is RUSK salon hair care.
‘fashion+culture+attitude’ it says. And we agree.
In
the parade, in the paddock, on the grid, the beautiful RUSK models made a
big impression on the crowd in their first ever – but surely not
their last Le Mans appearance.
|
|
|

|
|
In
addition to the strong on-track and paddock promotions from sister company
RUSK salon hair care, this year’s Le Mans 24 Hours team also featured
major backing from leading male grooming company BaByliss for Men. Logos on the car and
drivers, plus we placed a classic Le Mans class winning Chrysler Viper at
BaByliss’ Paris headquarters – just to add to the occasion.

The ‘Mil Milhas’ of Interlagos in mid-November

Barazi-Epsilon’s brilliant LMP2 class win finished the season on a
real high for the team. And provides plenty of motivation to recapture the
championship in 2008.
